As I got out of my warm bed the other morning, into my warm pre-heated room, and put on my warm dressing gown, I thought “this month our community support needs to provide a little warmth to others”.
There are over 6,000 children in foster care in NZ. Did you know many of these children have nothing but the clothes on their backs, or their belongings in a black rubbish sack?
Foster Hope is a Charitable Trust that provides essential items to children entering foster care, because every child in foster care deserves to know that their community cares about them.
Every winter they run a Pyjama Drive, to provide warm sleepware to kids in foster homes.
We’re proud to be able to give a little support the Tauranga foster kids and be part of showing them that their community cares.
